Vintage Zeiss

Well, we sold the vintage Zeiss.  Mom didn't get quite what it was worth, but it's a start.  We have plenty of loose objectives that will be on sale on eBay.  All the objectives and the other microscopes will be listed at a price with an Or Best Offer option.  Please, make an offer.  Mom will be relieved once this stuff starts really selling.  Thanks to everyone.

Zeiss

I got the Zeiss Winkel listed on eBay for mom today.  Here are the photos I posted with it.

The objectives are all the Zeiss Winkel brand.  There's two eyepieces on the microscope that are 12.5x, plus a 12.5x and an 8x for the monocular head.  Any comments?

Ebay Update

I've started listing the objective lenses on eBay for my mom.  Her profile is mholloway72.  Since my mom isn't very computer literate, I've got to do it for her.  All the money from the sales will go directly to her. Thank you to everyone who helps and spreads the word.

Ebay Account

I set up an Ebay account for my mom.  I'll be managing it and listing the items for her since she's not very computer savvy.  I'm starting with the objective lenses tomorrow.  The ID the listings will be under is mholloway72.  It will take some time to list everything but I'm going to work steadily at it.  Please share any listings that show up with people that might be needing the piece I'm selling for mom.  Any and all help is appreciated.

Lifting of a weight

A friend of mine electronically introduced me to a friend of his and Rajesh came by the house last night.  I now have a list of microscope parts and names to put to parts that I had no clue what they were.  It's like a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders.  I will be setting up an account on ebay tomorrow so that we can begin to sell some of these items.  I'll post the link to the account once I've got it set up.  In the meantime I have vintage items that my dad collected plus some loose gemstones he had bought listed on Various Eclectic Items by VariousEclecticItems on Etsy.  I am so very thankful to Rajesh.  He was so nice and taught me a lot.  Words can't express how grateful I am for his kindness in helping me out.

I got lucky.  I have a friend who works in the Chemistry Department at SIU in Carbondale, IL and he has a friend who is a grad student.  Said grad student is going to come over and help me sort through some of the stuff that I don't know what it is.  WOOHOO!!  I will keep you updated.

A real value.  I had to clean the dust off it to list it.  Dad hadn't been using it.  No signs of wear.

Needing Identification

I have some odd parts that need identification.

Any ideas on piece #1?  Because I have no clue, lol.
Piece #2 is a Lomo.  A Lomo what I'm not sure...

I'm not sure what either of these two items are.  If anyone has any ideas, let me know.

On another note, I'm going to be creating a new eBay account for my mother for the high end microscopes.  That way the money goes directly to her to cover bills.  I will post the id when it's created.  Any help identifying parts would be extremely helpful.  Thank you to everyone who has assisted so far.  

Rest and Relaxation

I'm going to take a few days off for some rest and relaxation.  When I come back I'm most likely going to list the vintage Zeiss on ebay, along with some other goodies I've found in dad's office.
